GTA VI HeroGrand Theft Auto VI is an open-world action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. It is the eighth main installment in the Grand Theft Auto series and the most ambitious ever created, with an estimated development budget exceeding one billion dollars.
GTA VI takes place in the fictional state of Leonida, based on Florida, and features a romantic criminal duo: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos. Lucia is the first non-optional female protagonist in the franchise's history.
The game was officially announced in February 2022 after years of intense speculation. A first trailer was revealed in December 2023, shattering all YouTube records with 93 million views in 24 hours.
The second trailer, released on May 6, 2025, accumulated over 475 million views in 24 hours, breaking the record for the biggest video launch in history. Rockstar confirmed all footage was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.

Lucia CaminosGTA VI features a rich and varied cast, centered around the criminal couple Jason and Lucia, inspired by Bonnie and Clyde.
Jason Duval — Former soldier turned enforcer for local drug runners in the Keys. Jason wants an easy life but things keep getting harder. Meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing that ever happened to him.
Lucia Caminos — The series' first female protagonist. Her father taught her to fight as soon as she could walk. After serving time at Leonida Penitentiary, Lucia is determined to change the odds in her favor, no matter what it takes.

Boobie Ike — A local Vice City legend who transformed his time on the streets into an empire: real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. His partnership with Dre'Quan for Only Raw Records is his main investment.
Raul Bautista — A seasoned bank robber. Confidence, charm and cunning are his weapons. His recklessness raises the stakes with every score.
Brian Heder — An old-school drug runner from the Keys. He lets Jason live rent-free at one of his properties in exchange for services.
